i did not have suffisient time to move around in the city. Consequently i am not able to give a appropiate description.. What I did not like was the fact that every night "poor" people would empty out of the official garbage containers in downtown Armenia throwing the contents on the square where the local business is operating. A fantastic place near Armenia There is one huge reason to go to Armenia, the Quindio Botanical Gardens four kilometres from town. They are the best botanical gardens I have been to since Kandy in Sri Lanka 42 years ago. They are big with a fabulous butterfly house. The hotel was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was lovely to have a swim in such a clean pool. Armenia felt so friendly and so safe after Bogata.
