Cahuita is a hidden gem.
Cahuita is a hidden gem. It’s a small, quiet peaceful place to stay that is near to Puerto Viejo, but without the noise. The beaches and wildlife were wonderful, and we loved visiting Cahuita National Park. There is a bus stop in Cahuita which goes to Puerta Viejo. We loved eating at many of the local restaurants. Cahuita has not yet been commercialized. There are souvenir shops, but it is mainly untouched and undeveloped. Delicious! The apartment was very clean and big, in the centre of Cahuita, 5 minutes walking distance to Cahuita National Park and 10 minutes walking distance to Playa Negra. The location is near the beach and 10 minutes from the national park and the centre of Cahuita. The owners were helpful and quick to answer us whenever we got in touch.
