Tarcoles is a fishing village between two rivers.
Tarcoles is a fishing village between two rivers. It is an excellent place to base yourself for birdwatching and potentially could be great for sea fishing given the amount of fish landed. Chepes Bar / Restaurant is a good choice for meals or at the other end of town the hotel House of Macaws. This is the real Costa Rica with real Costa Ricans living there. No Banks, No souvenir shops, no shoe shops, no clothes shops. Just Grocery Shops and cafes.
