Beautiful Cathedral City.
Beautiful Cathedral City. Santa Barbara is a breathtaking Gothic Cathedral in the centre of town. Ossuary is a genial work of art adorned with bones made into art. Found this to be a very nice town to explore. We really liked the Guttenberg museum and seeing the St Barbara cathedral. We had a wonderful meal at The Terrace on the way to the church. Wish we had time to see the bone church or your the mine.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
A nice small / middle sized town, worth a short walk.
A nice small / middle sized town, worth a short walk. The main reason for visiting Kutna hora is the ossuary in suburb of Sedlec, which is really amazing and unique, not only on national, but also on international level. Historical building which has been renovated very tastefully. Plenty of space for 3 adults and very comfortable overall.We stayed in the silver room. Attached restaurant also a good choice for dinner. Parking a bit tricky if you have a car but we managed to find a free spot right around the corner where we could park all day/night for free. The staff was friendly and attentive, both at the front desk and at breakfast. Breakfast was varied and ample, at a comfortable dining room. The whole hotel had a nostalgic vibe - traditional (well made, sturdy, somewhat worn) furniture and carpets, narrow passageways. It worked great for a medieval town like Kutna Hora. Breakfast is OK. City transport is bad (unfortunetally) car is must have to get easy way to kutná hora. Bathroom is public for other guests for this hotel, and its OK.
