    With its great location nestled in low hills and verdant forests near the Thüringen/Hessen border, this colourful old town is full of fascinating architecture, many health & wellness opportunities and a welter of historical options whether in town or at the nearby former DDR border museum or 1 hour away in Eisenach and at the Wartburg. Families will enjoy plenty of children-friendly parks, playgrounds and activities and cultural opportunities are not a few. Well worth a visit!

    The staff was very kind and helpful. I was travelling by bike and arrived a little later, but the staff there was helpful and accommodating to all my questions. I can highly recommend staying at Parkhotel!
