    A beautiful area but you do need to be fortunate with the weather to appreciate it. If you are visiting Obersalzburgh and the Kehlestein, make sure it is fine before booking, or just hope you are lucky.

    We stayed in Berchtesgaden for 3 full days.

    We stayed in Berchtesgaden for 3 full days. It's right in the Bavarian Alps so the views are incredible. Berchtesgaden is a beautiful little town, as are most of the other small towns in Germany and Austria, where our trip took us. You can go to the Konigssee, do a boat tour, hike to the largest waterfall in Germany, or head over to Salzburg, which is only a 15-20 minute drive. Great area to check out!

    great hiking. Cute town. Eagles nest is a must see...especially the amazing views and the documentation center. The hstory is very interesting. It rained one day and we did a fun salt mine tour as well. Cute city to walk around. Kings lake is beautiful and the hikes there are great as well.

    Obersalzberg is where we visited.

    Obersalzberg is where we visited. The Eagles Nest is a quick visit as it’s just a restaurant and once you’ve seen the view there’s not a lot else. Get there early - it’s a zoo by 11:00am! Best bits were the lift and bus journey. Allow plenty of time for the documentation centre.

    A beautiful town with amazing mountain views and plenty to do. The guest card gives reductions on a number of attractions and free public transport in the area. Recommended - the Salzberg salt mine, Watzmanntherme (spa), Salzburg day trip, the Obersalzberg documentation centre and Eagle's Nest, Königssee boat trip (and swimming), Hintersee. There are places to eat next to the hotel, but also in the town centre (about 10-15 minutes on foot or free on the bus).

    Berchtesgaden is very beautiful and unspoilt!

    Berchtesgaden is very beautiful and unspoilt! It is a haven for hikers and people who loves nature. Another main attraction is that you don't need car here... The public transport is very good and has good connections to all the main attractions ,moreover it is free for guests spending the night in Berchtesgaden. Main attractions that we loved Lake Konigsee Jennerbahn Two Gorges which are absolutely breathtaking, for most parts it's easy walk.

    The location is simply breathtaking, with mesmerizing valley views from the window and balcony. To reach the hotel you drive a few kilometers up a winding country road, but it’s absolutely worth it. Just nearby there is another hotel with an excellent dinner service (served from 18:00 to 19:30) where non-guests are also welcome. The breakfast at our hotel was delicious. However, the cleanliness of the bathroom was disappointing - unfortunately there were hairs left behind. Everything else was excellent.

    The most beautiful hotel in Germany, I loved everything I loved the view from my room amazing and the surface was fantastic they were so kind specially (Sam ) the manager of the bar he was so kind with my son He was humble,, and strived hard to meet our requests and do them himself. .the food is amazing the spa wonderful the restaurant amazing ‎‏I advise everyone who wants a distinctive residence to stay there

    Everything was exactly as described and the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The view from the hotel is gorgeous and it is only 5-6 minutes walk from Berchtesgaden train station. Spa is small but cozy and the breakfast is excellent.

    I know this hotel as I grew up in BGD, it has always been known for quality accommodation and has maintained this throughout with it's furnishings and fittings. Mixing the old with the new well, love the original 'Stubn'.
