This was one of the best properties we stayed at on our Germany/Austrian vacation in September, 2022. Wonderful staff, very clean everywhere, well decorated and appointed rooms and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was also fantastic with a wide assortment of traditional Bavarian meats, cheeses, breads, and eggs, bacon, ham, etc. Also had cereals. The restaurant next door serves excellent Bavarian/Austrian food. Each meal is very large and an excellent value. Excellent parking right in front of the hotel. Very close to the KoenigSee which is worth going to. Make sure you do the short walk to the left about 10 minutes to see the view of the entire lake with the mountains in the background. We did not do the boat tour this time as we did it in a previous trip.

One couldn't do better than a stay with this lovely family. Breakfast was outstanding and the accommodations perfect for our family. Adults enjoyed the spectacular scenery with a variety of beverages from the self-serve kitchen while the children were enchanted with the animals, outstanding playground, and variety of toys. Even our new puppy was pleased. Gemütlichkeit!

Loved our stay in this wonderful guesthouse. Beautiful room with balcony. Very clean and comfortable. Didn’t feel like a hotel it felt like a home away from home. We also had dinner in the pub downstairs which was also 10/10. Our favourite accommodation yet this trip!

    We spent 3 nights here to visit Berchestgaden and Konigsee...

    We spent 3 nights here to visit Berchestgaden and Konigsee lake. We managed all of those things, including a boat ride on the lake to the church which was well worth it. Although I can imagine in the summer would be a bit overwhelmingly busy. We visited the Documentation Centre about the 2nd world war. It is presented very well, I feel everyone should see something like this so we can appreciate the freedom we have and try to live more peacefully. The Rossfeld panoramic drive was amazing with great views. A beautiful walk through the Marchenpfad forest with lovely wood carvings all the way through was very calming and relaxing. I wish we'd had more time to do more walks in the local area and maybe factor in a bit of relaxation time just looking at the mountains.

    Gasthaus Elvira is located cost to buy connections and also with great views of mountains such as watzmann. Several hiking opportunities directly from the stay. Also good for short trip to Salzburg, Königsee etc. Breakfast was extensive and plentiful. Rooms were very cozy. Hosts make sure that we are happy and gave us hiking tips. I would recommend it again.

    House is located in a small village on slope of a hill. Views from the balcony and through the kitchen window are impressive - forest and mountains. Birds are singing around. Just few minutes of driving to Berchtesgaden. There is a path passing by the house on which you can hike to the city and reach many tourist attractions. Apartment is equipped solidly - everything what you may need for holiday stay. Sleeping room and bathroom are without reproaches. We were happy about our choice.

    Mr. and Mrs. Koll are very nice hosts, they genuinely care and it shows. Room was big enough for 1 person and it had everything including SAT TV. Wi-Fi is strong around the whole area even outside. Breakfast was delicious with good selection. I appreciated the selection of local dairy products - (Berchtesgadener) yoghurts and butter 🙂

    Wverything. During my travelling in Europe for two weeks, this is the hotel I liked most. We stayed in luxurious hotel too and they are very nice too, but they are not as comfy and cozy as this one. I feel like staying at home. Every corner is very clean and well decorated. The owner is very very friendly and always responded quickly.
