Traditional B&B in very nice little town. We enjoyed our time wandering in the streets around, also having dinner and breakfast in the same place. We were just passing by Germany to Italy and stopped by for a rest with 8-month-old baby but ended up highly satisfied with German hospitality and culture in general. Great ambassadors of the country!

The location of the hotel is excellent - right in the center of the old town, on the river bank, with a great view of the river and everything around it. The town itself (I mean the old town where the hotel is) is very nice. The train station is about a 5-6 minute walk from the hotel and there is a bus stop on the other side of the bridge in front of the hotel. The breakfast is very good, there is a variety. They don't offer vegetables, but there was fresh fruit, good coffee, milk, tea, fruit juice. You can dine in the hotel restaurant at reasonable prices. The staff is very kind, everyone is smiling and responsive. The view from the window of my room - in front of my eyes, on the hill is Harburg Castle. The castle can be reached in about 10-15 minutes from the church along the lane up the hill. The castle is interesting, there is a nice view from it of the city below, the river and everything around.

Comfortable spacious rooms, comfortable beds, free parking and easy access by car, peaceful country town, rural setting, agricultural surrounds, easy to find, just north of the Danube River. The breakfast was not included in the nightly tariff, but it had enough variety and a sufficient meal being good value for only 7 Euro per person. The owner was very friendly and happy to chat and share his time. He could speak English well in person, but it was a bit difficult to communicate in English over the phone or email. I liked that the church across the road had its bells ringing - very charming. Beautifully kept cemetery - locals caring for the gardens while I visited. We enjoyed a delicious, reasonably priced evening meal at the Italian restaurant only 10min drive to Tapfheim. Lovely evening and early morning stroll around town. The next day it was a short drive to Harburg Castle - a lovely medieval castle interesting to children and adults alike with fairy tale murals here and there around the gate and entrance. Would stay again and recommend.

Claudia, her son and the amenities in the room were superb! When Claudia found out we were traveling by train, she offered to pick us up and drive us to the guesthouse. The room itself is actually an entire apartment/flat complete with kitchen, laundry, living room as well as the bedroom. The only hesitation is that you are sharing the common areas with another guest. This is mitigated by the fact we never saw him and barely heard him at all.

The apartment has been newly refurbished to a very high standard. High quality units and furniture make this a super comfortable and pleasurable stay. Located in the middle of Harburg with bakeries, shops and restaurants within 100m. Parking was also very easy.

The location of the house is great very close to the castle. The owner was very friendly and was very helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the house very clean and nicely decorated. I would highly reccmmend this place if you are planning a trip on the Romantic road
