Locates near by the tram station, around 8 mins walk. Rooms are new and clean, breakfast are also nice with fresh bread, hams and coffee. Quite suitable for business travel. There's no fridge in room and also no laundry area, should be fine for short term stay.

The location was perfect to de-jet lag after a long flight. The building was classic German and wonderful. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast included was excellent in the German style. The property had access to a lake and many easy nature trails through the extensive forest.

Breakfast was OK, but there were very little fresh vegetables like tomatoes were missing. I did room upgrade to larger one and it was very spacious. Room was equipped with AC which performed well and room was well furnitured with everything necessary. In room was coffee machine and electric kettle too heat water. TV was old style hotel smart TV without any real smart features, so only boring channels are available. Hotel offers to get coupon for 5 eur if your room is not cleaned for one day. This is good initiative and you can spend that coupon in lobby bar by adding only 50 cents for bear. However barman will try not to give you change if you do not have exact money.

    Well organized, clean and safe small city with good public transportation, good shopping facilities, restaurants, cafes and two great breweries. We truly enjoyed our short stay. I highly recommend Darmstadter Ratskeller Hausbrauerei, and Braustub'l.

    A great city to visit.

    A great city to visit. The city centre is again charming, vibrant, full of character and possessing a sense of its own identity and uniqueness. The city has a beguiling mixture of the old (churches and historic buildings) and the new (shopping malls containing every and any type of retail outlet) -- all of it within walking distance of the LUCIENPLATZ, the vast central square that is the heart of the downtown area of the city. On my third day there, I went far outside the city environs to the place / suburb known as KRANICHSTEIN, and found myself confronted with a replica of a place in Dublin (Ballymun) that I knew well. Kranichstein is a high rise flat / apartment complex well serviced by a frequent bus / tram service that one can avail of (I went there on foot -- which prolongs the journey but increases the variety of the experience as you pass from urban environment to country and back to high-rise again. It might sound odd to recommend -- but Kranichstein is really worth seeing!

    I liked the city, it's not the most interesting place on Earth, but it does have its moments - a Flohmarkt, Matildenhohe, parks in the centre of the city and a Bierkeller in the Rathaus - lively place with good and cheap food.

    A wonderful city, with a beautiful appearance that is worth visiting. Having a bicycle, you can reach beautiful places. Modern but at the same time with a very well preserved old architecture. Fairly clean and with an ethnically diverse population.

    Its a small town, not far from frankfurt airport so you can reach the airport in around 30 min on the autobahn. the town is basic, certainly not the prettiest town in Germany, but has a few decent restaurants and some walking areas around, and a couple of historic touristic places to visit which we could not unfortunately do, since the roadways in whole center area were closed off for some summer carnival.

    Nicely located in the north part of Darmstadt. The city itself is well connected by tram networks.The airliner (bus)from central station to FRA airport was a short 20-minute journey. There are grocery stores nearby too, which was convenient. I can glady recommend it for solo travellers
