The staff was really friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful, modern but cozy. Everything was clean and fresh, well lit and easily accessible. You can park for free in the streets next to the hotel. The subway is a short walk away, just like the city center. Breakfast was fresh and plenty to choose from. We were here for Spiel. During the night the communal areas were alive with people playing games and chatting with each other. It was nice to see so many people mixing and having fun.

Used the hotel as a base camp to visit Taylor Swift's concert at the Veltin's Arena in Gelsenkirchen. It's a great hotel in the center of Essen - spotless, with a nice vibe. Would book again!
