The property is in an idyllic location, and decorated beautifully with thoughtful touches for the guests to enjoy. We had both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and everything was delicious. Try the garlic bread! The hosts are wonderful. I'd highly recommend staying at Engel 16, you won't be disappointed!

Stayed here before and will do again. All the staff are very good, rooms are large and mine included a balcony. Lots of options for breakfast. The bar is nicely located and has outdoor seating. Dinner was good.

    The hotel is located in a tranquil rural setting. Our room had a good sized balcony that overlooked the fields and woods to the rear of the property. It was very quiet. The room was immaculately appointed and clean. Very comfortable and modern. The shower room was very clean and well equipped. Eggs and pancakes are cooked to order at breakfast. There is a lift which is just as well as the accommodation is arranged over several floors.

    This is a lovely hotel run by a nice couple who do everything to make the guests comfortable. We loved the restaurant, the breakfast (especially during the week-end - mostly local and unpackaged products), the bed, the fact of having a sofa in the room. We could also rely on the hosts for advice for activities. They speak English, too.

    Nice hotel in a nice, quiet spot in the Black Forest. Good views from the windows and plenty of walking routes nearby. Hotel looked like it had been recently renovated. Breakfast was nicely set out and arranged and the hosts were friendly and helpful.
