    First of all the city is well placed for DB stations and can get to Koln in 20 minutes or so. For food, there is a good place to eat near the Frechen BF with great steaks and beer. The city si very quiet and very close to Phantasialand ~20m, 1h to Toverland and 1.5h to Efteling. You can find anything you want and need, Aldi, Lidl etc. and also a small shopping mall for the ladies. Also it is very well suited for park walks or trailing if you feel the need to losen up a little.

    We wanted a hotel near the stadion for the concert of Pink and this hotel was close. Still needed to take a tram (which only went once every half hour) into town for diner. And returning to the hotel was a bit of a hassle because there were so many people that wanted to take the tram so we walked to de station where we needed to switch to our line to get back to the hotel. But all in all it was good.

    Rooms in a house converted into a hotel, above a Chinese restaurant so you could miss it easily when walking past it. Good standard, large rooms, good breakfast, next to a tram stop to Koeln city centre - no complaints!

    Decent location, and very reasonable on price. Some nice restaurants nearby -Alter Bahnhof Frechen, was a really nice meal and nice beer garden. Staff spoke English and were helpful.
