The location was perfect for me, as I could walk from the train station and also to the church where I was performing. The room was cozy but great for a night by myself. The staff members and owner were also super helpful when I had any questions or needed anything. Thank you for making my stay comfortable!

My friend and I used the apartment as a staging point for visiting Colditz Castle on the morning of departure. This property is perfect for that use. We arrived by train and departed by the 619 bus. Both the train station and the bus stop are within eyesight of the apartment. The apartment itself is comfortable, super clean and very nicely equipped. There are junk food places across the street, and a Lidl a few steps away. We enjoyed an evening meal at a Greek restaurant, Goldenes Schiff, within easy walking distance down Karl-Marx-Strasse, just beyond the park. For our purpose, it couldn't have been better. While we never met our host, there was good messaging, and it was easy to get the key from the lock box. The apartments are not numbered, so it took a moment to find ours. Ours was, indeed, marked with a decorative hanging thing that said "welcome." The key fit, and we were happy to enter.

    We were travelling through Germany and found the place by chance. As the result - we stayed in the same place on the way back as well. Lovely, beautiful hotel near the river and surrounded by forest. Great place to stay with a dog. Very tasty cuisine and great place to relax. Great walk along the river on the disused raillway path. Lovely old town nearby.

    My friends and I spent 2 nights here as we were visiting Colditz Castle which was a short drive away. The rooms were large, well appointed and comfortable. The violent shower was perfect after a long day on the bike. There was secure, gated parking at the rear of the hotel for motorcycles.

    Very nice staff, speaking fluent English. More 'guesthouse with character' than a hotel. The shop on the ground floor has interesting local toy figures. The hotel is located in the old town, but there is a large municipal parking lot nearby.
