    Halle is quite an attractive city with lots of old style...

    Halle is quite an attractive city with lots of old style buildings and cobbled streets. However it lacks atmosphere and is quite a boring place. We were visiting my daughter who is currently based there working so we had a good time, but it's not a place I would go back to apart from to visit her, and I wouldn't recommend it.

    Such an interesting city!

    Such an interesting city! Two castles, an interesting bar/pub/cafe scene, you can feel the energy and buzz from the young people around the university and art school. Great public transport, a lot of history, and also a wealth of public green areas. The Saale valley is lovely for walks, canoing and boat trips and makes you forget the city with its attractions is just a few steps away.

    We just stayed for one night during travel, so only really slept there and then continued driving. But the location of the hotel was close to the highway which was good. The room was clean and the breakfast pretty good!

    For one night stay it was fine. Use of public transport within the city was included in the hotel price. Location of the hotel was good - easy to reach with a tram, the tram stop in the front of hotel.
