    An lovely and interesting old town, well worth a visit.

    An lovely and interesting old town, well worth a visit. It has connections by rail to Kassel for Willhelmshohe and to other towns in the area. We particularly enjoyed Allendorf, another lovely old town, which appeared to have only 'fachwerk' houses, and also a church with a great cafe and beautiful garden.

    We stopped there by chance and were pleasantly surprised by this small city. The old town is extremely beautiful and appears to be almost free of tourists. Definitively worth a detour, if not a trip for itself.

    This pretty and quaint old town at the confluence of two rivers forming the third and with more than 450 beautiful half-timbered houses is one of the prettiest small towns in Germany that I have been to, both in terms of natural beauty and in terms of the old city. The old part of town is small enough to be easily done by foot. There is something for everyone in the city -- for nature lovers -- hills and rivers, for history lovers, for architecture lovers with the very imposing Rathaus (Town Hall) and for those in searach of stories there is Dr. Eisenbart. Do visit the place....you will not regret it.

    A nice place to drop off the Motorway.

    A nice place to drop off the Motorway. Its an old and original looking town with lots to look at and nice to walk around. We have visited before and feel now that there are too many tourist shops all fighting for trade. This could be a sign of the times but it is our opinion is spoiling the town.

    This hotel is perfectly located for exploring the town. It has a car park at the rear of the property with allocated spaces for residents. Very nice comfortable room with a window overlooking a quiet street. The hotel has been completely refurbished/rebuilt and reviewing the information leaflet in the room, it is evident that a great deal of effort has been taken to save the building for prosperity. Breakfast was more than adequate.

    We liked pretty much everything about this hotel. It is located in the centre of the town, in an old building with original features which we loved. The stuff was very helpful and the breakfast in the morning had a great selection of food and drinks. The room was quite big with comfortable beds and a little bathroom with shower and toilet. We highly recommend this hotel.

    This was our second time here. We stayed overnight in June and returned in October. I love it when old buildings are tastefully turned into hotels, and this is no exception. There are nicely decorated large rooms, comfortable beds and a nice cosy seating area. Friendly helpdul staff. A modern lobby with nice seating area. Fantastic location. Great breakfast.

    Super cool hotel that reaally makes you feel how incredibly old it is (in a good way). Brekfast in a church from 1100 or somethig was also a perk! The room was clean, but nothing special when it comes to comfort. Nice staff, even though they mostly spoke german, which I am NOT good at😅
