It is a lovely hotel in an idyllic location, surrounded by beautiful nature. The house is walking distance to the Elbe river. It features the wellness area with sauna and the bier garden right next to the house. Our booking included breakfast which was very nice as well. It was in another location with the terrace outlooking the river. There was no Wi-Fi in the room, which is intentional, but you can catch free Wi-Fi in the restaurant and beer garden , if needed. It was a very relaxing stay and we loved it! Thank you!

A wonderful place and wonderful hosts. We spent a few days in Saxony with a group of friends, staying at the Hotel Brückenschänke in Sebnitz. Thanks to Barbara and Andreas, the owners of the hotel, we felt like family. Excellent location, great views, peaceful. Nice walk from there to Lichtenhainer waterfall down in the valley. Rooms very cosy, top quality bedding and towels. Breakfast superb. Host very friendly and attentive.

The breakfast was amazing, inexpensive, and a great way to socialize with other travelers. Robin was an excellent host and went above and beyond to make sure the experience was a good one. Great for solo travelers, near hiking trails. Bathrooms were always clean, and the rooms were big and beds were comfortable. Literally 30-second walk to the beginning of hiking trails. Schmilka is a ferry and train ride from Bad Schandau, but it's very manageable.
