Breakfast was included and great. Balcony with fantastic view! Walking distance to both castles (I recommend taking the pony cart up to Neuschwanstein if you aren't in the best physical shape). Quiet and peaceful. I didn't realize anyone else was there until I saw them in the breakfast room. Free parking on site. Lots of information available. Beautiful location, beautiful room, beautiful host.

We loved our stay at Das Konig Ludwig. The staff were very polite and helpful, the breakfast was delicious. They had a good variety of cheese, fruit, yogurt, breads, fresh squeezed juice, a spectacular variety of teas, and many healthy options. The hotel was very clean, the beds comfortable and the shower had very good water pressure. No wifi issues throughout the property. The spa and pool areas were well kept and the towels were plentiful. We cannot wait to go back.

    I did not enter any of the castles or museums. I had done that 50 years ago, as a student in Munich. I liked just walking around, soaking up the tourist vibe, predominantly Chinese. I even liked the rainy-sunny mix of weather, so characteristic of the Allgaue region.

    The village is a prime example of a "tourist village".

    The village is a prime example of a "tourist village". Everything closes very early on, you see almost no locals, only hotels and restaurants. In spite of that, it still gives you a nice german feeling and experience, and the whole area is super clean, secure and just dreamy. I suggest everyone to take a bycicle or walk to get around, and try the Schlossbrau restaurant.

    I liked the walk ability to the castles. The tours were just okay- guides to both castles did not speak great English (on the English tour) so it was difficult to get much out of the tours…. But the area is beautiful and you can swim in the lake!

    Central location convenient for visiting the two castles.

    Central location convenient for visiting the two castles. There is nothing there apart from a series of hotels and a few restaurants. Even so, much more conventient than staying further out and paying for parking etc. For more amenties and activities apart form the castles try Fussen, 15 minutes away

    This city is amazing and the people are so nice.

    This city is amazing and the people are so nice. I had all good experiences during my stay in the area. The Castle Hohenschwangau is worth a visit as well. Most people just go to Neuschwanstein, but please visit the Hohenschwangau Castle as well. Do not eat at the Hotel Muller Bistro quick snack place. The Jumbo hot dog was terrible, and I had an ache in my stomach the rest of the day. Eat at one of the sit down restaurants!

    Woman from reception was completely stressed out wich is unpleasant if you have just traveled so we didn't feel very welcome when checking in. After 17:00 not possible to eat anything. Bad WIFI and breakfast ( no fruit) that was not what you expect fir this price. Rooms did not have insulated walls. Perfect distance from the Neuschwanstein castle ( only 200 meters)

    We loved our stay at this lovely family-led hotel. Everyone was so kind and friendly! Both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant downstairs were absolutely delicious! Highly recommended! The location is fantastic, within walking distance to both castles and the lake. Cozy, traditionally decorated room. Both room and bathroom were clean and comfy. It was great to have a balcony in the room, we loved it!

    Villa Ludwig was so amazing. The best hotel in our 7 day trip throughout Germany. -impeccably clean -super comfortable big bed and suite -well above average delicious full breakfast -friendly warm staff, the owner Anette and front desk Giovana are remarkable. -walking distance to everything to see in the little town -short 7 minute taxi ride to Füssen. Treat yourself to a stay here.

    The position of the hotel is great, staff were friendly & helpful. Ate in the restaurant in the evening & the food & service were excellent. Our waiter was particularly good. Hotel parking also worked well for us. So close to both castles & it was lovely to have a walk in the evening when the tourists had left.

    The location was so close to the castle - so amazing to be able to drive up the hill and park at the hotel save us 30 mins walking up the hill. The room was comfortable for 3 by paying for the extra bed. The staff were friendly and helpful who sent reminder and instruction to get to the hotel.
