Excellent location, clean facilities, there was even a steam bath in the room, large balcony and comfy bed. Wonderful tapas type breakfast, cosy bar to have a drink in the evening.

Tidy and spacious room, baby bed was provided for free. Breakfast was amazing, big choice of food. The breakfast wintergarden was very cozy, great views to greenery etc. Baby chair was available in the breakfast room. Great location when arriving with the ferry from Finland. Parking spaces available. The whole stay was perfect!

I checked in late as my Ferry from Helsinki did not dock until 9pm. Upon arrival, ample car parking, it was easy to find the entrance key, and the key to my room following the hosts instructions. Room presentation was excellent, very clean, tidy and modern. Shame I was not able to use the balcony on this occasion as it was a bit cold! One tip, stairs will be very challenging for those with mobility issues. You have to tick what you would like for breakfast on a sheet which you will be given / collect from the top of the fridge in the Reception area. Tip, if your German is not brilliant (Like mine), you will need to use a Translation App. Location was excellent within easy reach (for me walking) of everything I wanted to see and do. I would recommend staying at this property, and would happily stay here again if it was available on my next visit.

It is right on the promenade. The breakfast room - where you can get coffee all day - opens onto a small terrace with strand korbs (beach basket-chairs). The room was large and clean and you get a welcome sign with your name on at your door The hotel was a perfect size and the staff were all friendly.

It's a very comfortable well appointed hotel in a lovely position overlooking the beach. There's a very nice garden with strandkorbs and other seats. The bar and restaurant take full advantage of the view and you can sit outside for breakfast. Food is good and staff pleasant and welcoming.

    It was great for eating and drinking - everything from cafes...

    It was great for eating and drinking - everything from cafes to restaurants. We came to eat fish and were well-pleased. Everything was an easy walk away. There are also 2 local stations and several bus lines with regular services. The ferries across to the Priwall side of the river were covered by the Deutschland Transport Ticket.

    We did not have beach weather and were limited to walking. I would have been ok to leave again after 2 nights. If there is no weather for swimming, I find it a bit pointless in Travemünde and tiring to just go on walking excursions. Average age of travellers in Travemünde seems to be rather high. If you want to be among more young people, probably better to head to Timmendorfer Strand, about 5 kms to the North. Travemünde is great for ship-watching though. Huge ferries to and from Svandinavia and Findland in and out all the time.

    We like Travemünde because it is the closest access to...

    We like Travemünde because it is the closest access to seaside from Hamburg. It has beach, harbour, plenty of restaurants and hotels. Apart from the seaside, there are few special sites, so we think that 1-2 days are enough to explore the place.

    Loved visiting Gosch of Sylt... excellent price/value, very conscientious about Corona hygiene. Great walk past the dog beach to Hermannshöhe if you can do it in the early part of the am (otherwise crowded with bicyclists).

    We have been staying in an apartment managed by the hotel. It is a very small but cosy apartment, bathroom is ok, even if without window. Kitchenette offers all necessary to prepare breakfast or a light meal, not really suitable if you are a cooking lover. The sleeping coach is easy to make ready and enough confortable, however it sounds a bit funny to have to prepare the bed by yourself. Furnitures and decorations are very cute, marine style. View from the balcony is superb. Good availabily of towels and bed linen.

    The hotel rooms are fantastic, containing a full kitchenette and plenty of space to relax. We had a balcony facing the harbour, and the view was wonderful. The location of the hotel is good for access to the beaches, and for getting into nature. Travemünde itself is just a short ferry ride across the river (there are two ferries, both easy to walk to and tickets are available from machines at the dockside). This was a lovely place to stay for a few nights.
