    It is a typical 'siel' harbour town.

    It is a typical 'siel' harbour town. Most places have free parking but the seils have expensive car parks. The harbour is very interesting and there is a stall serving local fish rolls whch are well worth a try. It is a pretty little fishing town but I imagine it woudl be really busy in the summer hols as Germany doesn't have a lot of coastline. Bensersiel is the setting for the famous Riddle of the Sands film but in the ten yearas since we first visited it, it has changed with fewer fishing smacks and less cahrm.

    Large TV able to be turned to any angle. Good hot water in bathroom. Good size shower. 2 extra blankets / throw rugs in room. Good safe bicycle storage in locked garage beside the hotel. 2 armchairs in room and 2 outside chairs and table on private balcony. Lovely bright breakfast room and good breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Modern interior. Nice wide stairways and halls. Very quiet inside room.

    Beautiful hotel in a great location right next to the harbor. The beach was less than 5 minutes away by foot. The room was well-designed and comfortable. The staff were accommodating and checked us in even if we were rather late.

    Great choice of good food for breakfast Comfortable rooms with separate rooms for each bed, so my son had his own room 2 mile walk or drive into Neuharlingersiel, to see the port or take the ferry to the islands
