For an insignificant little town an excellent hotel with a really good breakfast selection. You'd expect such a place in a tourist attraction with a much higher price level. I doubt I'll ever visit Nordhausen ever again, but if so - I'll book here

The room is large enough and has all facilities needed for a short or long stays. Some reviews mention a problem with unlocking the door by the link but everything went well for us. We spent the next two days at the same hotel in Gotha and it was also all good.

    Whilst initial impressions may not appear promising,...

    Whilst initial impressions may not appear promising, Nordhausen does have a pretty old town, some interesting museums and galleries and pleasant parks. It is also a very compact city with many of the main attractions easily reached on foot. It also has a small tram system which is useful for getting about. Pleased be advised that there is not much in the way of night life, there is a theatre and cinema and a few good restaurants and bars but not much else happening at night.

    Nordhausen is a more interesting town than you might think.

    Nordhausen is a more interesting town than you might think. Most of it had to be rebuilt in the communist style after WW2, but there is still an old quarter with cobbled streets and timber framed houses which was restored and the contrasts between the two are interesting to see. Couple of nice parks as well. Barfuss restaurant in the old town is nice. Town is southern terminus of the Harz narrow gauge railway - well worth a trip. City centre fairly compact for walking around.

    Stayed in their TinySky Pods as a couple. Ours was on the ground not on the roof which was perfect for us. Clearly very new, very modern, very clean and comfortable. The Pods are quirky but with everything we needed for a short and mostly self-catering stay. Location for exploring the wonderful Harz Railway is perfect just 200m ish from the Nordhausen Nord Station. We loved it. Staff are great and very helpful too.....

    The location is excellent, with many well-marked walking routes right from the doorstep. It's ideal for anyone seeking a quiet, great-value base for hiking, while still being close to a city like Nordhausen. However, it's worth noting that the actual driving distance to Stolberg is much greater than stated — around 30 km by road, rather than the 7.3 km 'as the crow flies' mentioned in the description.

    The apartment was located in the old town with a beautiful view of Nordhausen. It was in a quiet location within easy reach of shops and restaurants . The apartment was very well equipped and the host was very helpful and friendly . We absolutely recommend this apartment and would happily stay there again.

    Beautiful hotel room with all amenities. You can get there yourself and there are pans and cutlery available. The beds are good and the pillows are wonderful. The bathroom is spacious with a rain shower. Modern hotel room with everything you need and certainly recommended for travelers at this price.
