Nice newly build hotel right by the river. There is lots of seating outside where you can sit and enjoy the peace of the river slowly gurgling past you. The area on the other side of the hotel is very industrial, making it difficult to walk to the center of town.

Very welcoming, the staff and the reception/ maitre-d were superb. Room was clean spacious and comfortable, restaurant and bar excellent, very good breakfast. Friendly family run hotel in a pretty town , good for overnight or longer. Great value for money.

My kind of hotel. Located on the main street of a mid sized town which means there are things happening but its not overly busy. Nice beer garden which has the hotel on one,side,and the old town walls on the other. Good Austrian food and beer. .My room was clean and modernised but kept its old world charms. Parking on the streets which you may have to pay for on working days. I would definitely stay again.

Very comfortable apartment. Well equipped kitchen with everything we needed. Very close to the Main Radweg cycle path and it was great to be able to securely store our bikes in the downstairs hallway.

This is a very nice property that has been refurbished to a very high standard, it looks like no expense has been spared. The owner and his family were exceptionally friendly. The restaurant has to be a dining experience not to be missed, an absolute gem of a place. We could not take breakfast at the hotel but the recommendation of the local bakery proved to be very good. Would highly recommend.

    A really nice area of Germany (just into Bavaria), nestling...

    A really nice area of Germany (just into Bavaria), nestling above the river Main and not far from Frankfurt (by autobahn). The surrounding area has an abundance of tracks and trails for running and walking. You can certainly walk out to neighbouring villages for lunch and walk back home. Plenty of nice places to eat in the surrounding area, plus some very quaint old villages scattered down the river to visit, typically with town walls, gatehouses and castles. Obernburg itself has a very pretty old village centre (built on the footprint of a Roman fort) with town walls and gatehouse. It has a variety of small shops, pubs and a selection of big-brand supermarkets.

    Obernburg is a small town located about 45 minutes south of Frankfurt. It lies on the River Main, and there are wonderful walking paths, camping and picnic areas along the riverbank. There is a walled inner city, with numerous restaurants and an irresistible ice cream parlor. Obernburg is a wonderful place to establish "base camp" and make periodic day trips throughout Bavaria -- Miltenberg, Heidelberg, Stuttgart, Aschauffenburg. Very relaxing and restful.
