We primarily went for a concert on the castle estate. So our location was perfect for that. There are a few things one can do in Rastatt including eating out in some nice restaurants. On our way back home from Las Palmas, through Kassel-Baden (FKB) airport to Erfurt this hotel seemed a nice place to rest a few days. Also the price/value rate in order. A very good breakfast in a nostalgic Italian diner. If they could restore the real Italian cuisine at supper, this gem would be shining at full intensity!! Although a bus stop is in front, getting around with a car is a lot more comfortable and time-efficient. Private parking is not available, publicparking approx max 2 blocks away. Safe neighborhood. Definitely visit Schloss Rastatt.
Definitely visit Schloss Rastatt. We had a private tour with a very good, knowledgeable guide. Schloss Rastatt Favorite is also a must see. You could use Rastatt as a base to explore the surrounding area...Baden-Baden, Schwarzwald etc. We had a great meal at Lehners Wirtshaus. Reasonably priced, delicious German food and beer.
