    A beautiful sleepy little town (don't go there to party) in...

    A beautiful sleepy little town (don't go there to party) in the heart of the Vulkaneifel with super walking in the immediate vicinity and nearby. A couple of restaurants at the lake, but beyond that, you need to travel to Mayen for a wider choice of eating out places. A small bakery with a selection of groceries in the town centre, but closed on Mondays. Although there is public transport, I'd recommend a car to get around the region. Nurburgring is within 25 mins drive. A lovely, unspoilt area to enjoy the outdoors. Swimming and paddleboarding on the lake. Rieden makes a perfect base for onward travel, Dogs welcomed wherever we went.
