We arrived at the hotel and were welcomed by a charming host, who guided us around the facilities always with a smile on his face 😄 The room is big with built-in bathroom and minibar with local beers 🍻 The bed is super comfy so we had a good night sleep after a long day hiking. We also enjoyed the sauna and generous breakfast. Well, we have nothing to complain 😁

The breakfast and dinner was great. Special thanks to the owner who allowed us to check out later, storing our bikes and even helped out with some potato chips. The whole staff was very friendly and it is a perfect budget place to stay with a group. The massage chairs and the sauna are an extra plus! Was a pleasure and we can definitly recommend this nice hotel.

    Comfortable hotel in a wonderful location with nice mountain view. Excellent meals at hotel and Brenner Bau in nearby Bishofswiesen. Easy driving access in nearby areas - not overcrowded in October season.

    Schönau am Königssee is a truly magical place, surrounded by some of the most stunning natural landscapes I’ve ever seen. The crystal-clear waters of Königssee, framed by towering alpine peaks, are simply breathtaking. We took a boat ride on the lake, which was peaceful and allowed us to fully appreciate the beauty of the area. The town itself is charming and serene, offering a perfect blend of nature and relaxation. Whether hiking, boating, or just enjoying the scenery, Schönau am Königssee is a must-visit for nature lovers. We can’t wait to return!

    We had a very nice day. The boat ride was lovely.

    We had a very nice day. The boat ride was lovely. Such a beautiful and peaceful ride over to the island. The trumpet was great and the echo was brilliant. The only problem was the captain of the boat did not explain on the ride over the history of it all in English. He claimed to not know that there were English speakers on board.

    Hiking here is amazing! The lake is extremely beautiful.

    Hiking here is amazing! The lake is extremely beautiful. Hiking, you will mostly see only Germans or Austrians. Is you take the ferry, which you should, you'll see people from everywhere and it feels more touristy, but still beautiful.

    Visiting this place was just breathtaking.

    Visiting this place was just breathtaking. Everything is so clean and neat. Nice people and nice surroundings. Mountain views are beautiful. Super close to Switzerland if you are hesitating to see Mozart house and see the town. Also close to the Eagle’s Nest.

    We loved this small hotel. The young couple who own it is very friendly and very helpful. They serve a lovely breakfast with eggs cooked fresh according to taste. The hotel is decorated in a simple modern and clean style. The hotel is also very well located. The Königsee and Jenner Bahn are both within walking distance, and so are a number of restaurants and a bakery.
