A lovely German family welcomed us into their home. A beautiful bedroom, with a large comfortable bed, and access to a dream bathroom. The house is set amongst woodlands near a small village. It is an easy 25 minutes by car to drive into Hamburg, where we visited Miniatur World. Parking there was $2 per hour, and it is open until midnight. Think about having a tour of the river, but keep in mind the tides or you will miss out on the best bit. Plus keep in mind; on some river cruises, the operator only speaks German.

The sofa is huge and very comfortable. I love the TV wall and it was really decorative and creative. The bathroom is spacious and the shower is nice. The entire apartment was very clean and you’ve got literally everything you need.
