    I really liked the accommodation - comfort, clean etc.

    I really liked the accommodation - comfort, clean etc. The good thing about Stolberg were the very helpful friendly taxis. The town itself is quite run down and the train station has no wifi so I had to ask someone else to call a taxi. The train lines were being repaired so there was a replacement bus service which was OK, but running late which meant the long wait at Duren train station as we missed the train due to the bus running late.

    A wonderful old town, which grew up around the copper/bronze...

    A wonderful old town, which grew up around the copper/bronze industry, using hydopower. The old town centres on the oft-rebuilt castle, which hosts concerts, etc. The floods of July 2021 devastated the town, which is slowly rebuilding itself. Around the town, there are many forests for walks. And a 40-minute direct bus ride to Aachen. There are sufficient bars, restaurants, bakeries, food stores, etc.

    I was looking for a place close to our family reunion in Stolberg. I found Andrea’s place and I do not regret it. She is an amazing host, many weeks before our venue she planned everything, send me message with clear instructions for check in. Highly professional and lovely. She always wiling to help The place is cosy, warm, tidy and well decorated. We will find everything needed to spend great time in there. I recommend the host and the place 100% !!

    Despite a small issue with the reservation, the hotel owner took responsibility and worked hard to resolve it, ultimately offering a solution that satisfied us. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the location was easily accessible.
