The location is absolutely magnificent! The former convent is set amongst a forest and the river jagst, that you can warily swim in in summer… The surroundings and the convent itself are just pure beauty and relaxation. So are the high walled ceilings.. The rooms are impeccably clean. The breakfast great with great choices. However, Germans in hospitality still need to understand, it would be vital to show their guests they are more than welcome to stay or even ask questions.. I was told Germans are not used to being treated in a smiling, friendly manner: sorry, rubbish! Everyone wants to be treated like that, thus has nothing to do with country of origin! Located in a small town of Sennfeld on a river shore in a very picturesque scenery. Very well maintained with an authentical outlay and wooden stair case to the second floor. Big rooms with full size bathrooms, vintage style furniture, comfortable beds. Basic continental breakfast with real coffee on the good China table ware and vintage accessories and cutlery served in the in-house dining room. The dinning room also acts as a restaurant a couple of days in a week starting from Wednesday. Three minutes’ walk up the street one can find a nice bakery Bäckerei Dörr with fresh pastry, coffee and dairy products. For a choice of restaurants and shops it is better to drive 5 minutes to the town of Adelsheim. The castle has a nice and big garden with fountain housing a herd of king size golden fish, some tables and benches to sit outdoor. There is a lot of free parking places on the street and a couple in the garden. The hotel is managed by a very friendly young couple. They are quite efficient and very pleasant to deal with.
