    Svendborg is a lovely seaport with great seafood.

    Svendborg is a lovely seaport with great seafood. During the summer the harbour is filled with many interesting old, wooden, sea craft and there are many restaurants and bars close by. A ferry to the neighbouring island of Æreø departs from the harbour every 1-2 hours. The small town of Ærøskøbing on this island is well worth a visit. This place is like something out of a Walt Disney movie. Cobbled streets are lined on both sides with beautiful houses all of which seem to date from 1700-1800's with odd ones dating back even earlier.

    Beautiful little town.

    Beautiful little town. We arrived on a Friday late afternoon and it was great to be in a lively city after days in the country side. We really enjoyed walking around the harbour, where there was plenty of choice for drinks and food. Downtown was lovely too.

    We were supposed to move to Odense, but we fell in love with Svendborg and decided to look for an apartment here. It is a truly magical place with its good people. It fits old and young just perfectly. Great architecture. Can't wait to celebrate Christmas here

    A beautiful fresh and airy space with my own entrance and balcony with a sea view. The owner, Hanne was very pleasant . I highly recommend it, though a car is recommended. I was lucky I had friends to pick me up. I just loved the whole area of Svendborg and I'm looking forward to a return visit.
