I loved the restaurante in town. EL Mesón del Tren! The owners Lorena & Diego were attentive, friendly, and spent time with us during dinner. Lorena cooked for us a great meal as we requested! It's an old Spanish style restaurante that takes your breath away and the Food is incredible! Alausi can be a bit of a maze to drive around. It's a nice little town with a nice spirit .
It's a nice little town with a nice spirit . Hiking is great along the nariz del diablo train route - great views. Here you can also see a lot of indigenous ecuatorian people, especially on sundays at the indigenous market. If you want to sleep make sure you pick the right hotel because dogs and roosters are really loud here late at the night and early in the morning and many hotels have no soundproofing at all.Guest review byArviFinland

Everything was fine and this place is therefore amazing value for money. Big room, big, comfy bed, hot shower, private parking. It was all fine. The place is located on the main street of Alausi but the room was amazingly quiet. Breakfast is very good and the staff are friendly and helpful.
