    After 30 years of travelling all over Ecuador, I recently had the pleasure of discovering (thanks to Booking) and staying at Hostería El Paraiso de las Orquídeas in Archidona. It was the perfect place to share part of the Amazon Rainforest with a visiting friend. We enjoyed the location, the passing through monkeys, staff hospitality, the food, sitting by the river and the adorable cabins. Cannot wait to return with the family!

    The hotel is located next to a beautiful river, has a unique huge pool and the restaurant serves good ecuadorian food. The speciality about this place is the close interaction with the nearly 80 squirrel monkeys living on the premises.
