David is a huge asset to the hotel. He knows and loves the area and is happy to help with any information or advice to make your trip better. The hotel is a beautiful property and all the staff were awesome. The beaches are beautiful, not too crowded, and only a block from the hotel. It is nice and clean given that you travel out of holiday season. I like the town because it offers different kind of food around. Nothing to do though but relaxing and taking sun baths, maybe a stroll through the beach. I’m traveling with kids so I’m not interested in night clubs or dancing. The beach is nice and there is a lot to do but this town has the feel of a tourist trap with lots of hustles going on to get you to pay money for stuff. There are a lot of people and the restaurants are only so so, and some of them are horrible for the money that they charge. Tonsupa is a quiet town on an incredibly lovely beach. It is only a short distance from Atacames, which has all amenities. The water is very warm and the surf is perfect for swimming at all times. It is a quiet area with endless beach to walk on. There are all kinds of accommodations, from higher-end to modest. People are friendly and it feels very safe.
