Location excellent for us. We were walking the Camino Mozarabe and took a rest day in Alcala. Great to have a spacious, comfortable apartment with washing machine close to the main road, camino and also a park which makes its way up to the incredible castle. Apartment was warm and well equipped. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Hosts arrived promptly with key and also provided a second set of keys which is important as we were a friend group who were doing independent activities during the day.

Location was perfect. Just off the centre of town. Superb view of the castle. Host was very helpful and answered any questions we had i.e. good restaurants, taxi advice etc.

    The hosts Bev & John were wonderful.

    The hosts Bev & John were wonderful. Their house is attached to the holiday accommodation but they never invade your privacy. If you do need them they are always available. Perfect. The accommodation is furnished well with all the equipment you will need. We were provided with a well stocked arrival pack. The terrace, gardens and pool are perfectly kept. The views are wonderful and as there is very little light pollution the night sky is outstanding. We loved it so much we’ve booked to go back next year. Thank you Bev and John for a great time.

    Alcala is a working town and busy during the day.

    Alcala is a working town and busy during the day. Our stay was Mon/Tues where we found many bars and restaurants closed. The main reason to visit for a tourist is the spectacular La Mota fortress dominating the town. This is special. The "Old Town" in Alcala has some lovely architecture and is low rise so presents a nice vista from higher up and at nightime. However, many shops in this area had closed down or were banks which left it soul less. The newer town was more lively during the daytime but is indistinguishable from many other Spanish towns. For me a 2 night stay was too long. A day trip would satisfy my touristy needs. Our favourite place to have a drink and eat was Cafe Bar Europa in the new town, although this is a bit biased as other places were closed. The food was very good though and the wine cheap

    Great place even better host , google maps sent us the wrong way to the hotel , so left what he was doing and he came and picked us up and showed us were to park and welcomed us with a free drink afterwards and very understanding and flexible letting us check out a couple of hours later letting our young 3 year child use the pool in the meantime with no problems. Things like that mean the world as parents and made the trip. We will be back.

    A perfect hotel, right in the centre of Alcalá. The room was great, fairly small as I was on my own, but with an excellent view. It was at the tail-end of the season and only mine and one other room was occupied, so of course the reception was not manned full-time. But I messaged my arrival and the proprietor was there bang on time (a rarity in Spain) and very helpful with tips about the area.

    Located in a quiet safe location. Easy street parking just outside of the apartment. Very convenient location for visiting surrounding towns i.e. Priego de Cordoba, Zuheros and of course Alcala la Real. Apartment has very nice communal roof terrace.
