The state-owned Paradores chain is one of the jewels of Spanish hospitality. These places are oases of calm class, and Argomaniz was no exception. The setting is just lovely, looking out over the agriculture of the plain below. Everything about this place is just "right" - peaceful rooms, great water pressure in the shower, lovely staff and delicious dinner and breakfast, all in a delightful historic palace. Not showy or super-deluxe, just "right"! Basically unfaultable.

The hotel has an excellent location, very close to the city center. The room was very clean, and it was being cleaned every day of my stay. The bedsheets and the towels in my room were being changed every day, and the room was kept in excellent condition all the time, which really exceeded my expectations. The bathroom was perfectly equipped (including a hair dryer and all the toiletries), which made the stay very comfortable. There is also an excellent air conditioning in the room, which works perfectly. The auto check-in was super fast, very convenient, and the check out is basically just leaving the room key in a box on the ground floor, so there are no time restrictions neither for the check-in nor for the check-out. There are coffee and snacks machines inside the hotel building, and the products are super cheap, so it was very easy to get a coffee and a sweet treat anytime I wanted. I really recommend this facility for a short or a longer stay in Vitoria-Gasteiz, and I will choose this hotel every time I come back to Vitoria because it is the best one I have ever been to.

    Recently renovated/built new in stunning old building.

    Recently renovated/built new in stunning old building. Far away from hustle and bustle and super peaceful. Tight roads to the place adds to the fun. The only let down was the small fridge that would not cool so well. Everything else is great. Only 20-25 min drive to Vitoria-Gastez so not too far from the usual necessities.

    The area is a typical small village, charming and welcoming set in beautiful countryside - children went walking and swimming in a nearby mountain pool. Beautiful old building but renovated very well. Had all we needed in terms of kitchen, comfy beds and good showers and fluffy towels. Only minus is the roads are a little narrow but once you know which way to go then no issue.
