We didn't intentionally choose to stay in Balaguer, as we were looking for lodging in Lleida, and La Casa del Miracle in Balaguer appeared as an option. (excellent place to stay). Balaguer is a historic town at the base of the pre-Pyrenees with a very interesting Museum (de la Noguera), a Saturday market in the central plaza, and is a terrific base for exploring and hiking in the Montroig and Montsec mountains. There are many wineries in the area.Guest review byGeorgeSpain

We arrived in dark so it was magical to open curtains in a morning and see the quirky, characteristic views around. We chose breakfast and could not be more happy with what we received!
