I loved this little spot in a small village in a beautiful area. The accommodation is simple but really nicely decorated, old wood beams, nice light fixtures, pretty tiles in the bathroom and tranquil colours. The staff were really nice and accommodating and we got by with my limited Spanish. They don't normally serve dinner (which they had messaged in advance) so it is probably better for people with a car who can drive elsewhere for dinner. There was nowhere in walking distance, but as a walker, my hosts very kindly made me a simple vegetarian meal (with wine). Also supplied me with a great packed lunch for my hike to Kolitza. A tiring 22 kms return but wow. Great views at the top.

This is a magical place, you feel like you're away from everything while you're only a 20 mins drive from the beach and 30 minutes drive from Bilbao centre. Friendly, warm owners, HUGE family room, organic garden, farm animals and delicious breakfast with homemade cake. We were sad to leave.

The ladies who own the hotel were exceptionally kind. They took our clothes and hung them up to dry after a day’s hike in the rain and gave us electric heaters for our room. She brought up tea, coffee and biscuits for us when we arrived. The house itself was so cosy and lovely. The breakfast was delicious and there was lots of it!

An amazing Home with the most fanatic views The rooms have their own individuality, excellently decorated and always clean. It has the most breathtaking views, and the Hostess Maika was so welcoming, it was if we had known her years. Her cooking is exceptional, was one of the highlights of the whole 14 days touring . It’s on my list to revisiting in my next tour

First off, the hotel lobby is beautiful! Sitting by the pool was also lovely, and the staff were fantastic. I had some unexpected business that came up, and they were able to print some documents for me without a problem. The room was comfortable and the bathroom had a bathtub and shower which was appreciated. The room was cleaned dutifully daily, and the bed was very comfortable. The 10 minute walk to transit in the morning was beautiful and felt safe, and the nearby shops were great for purchasing our own breakfast foods (hotel breakfast looked costly). We wanted to spend most of our time in Bilbao, and we did not feel like we missed out by staying in Barakaldo thanks to the metro proximity.

This is the best BB hotel I have ever stayed. I know them very well from Germany. It is new, rooms are spacious!!! Bathroom great. The gentleman who was on service on 5th October who get an employee of the year award. Very kind, friendly, attentive. I saw him checking in more than 12 people. Hotel is just next to Aldi. Breakfast was good and all fresh. Stay there before others discover it!
