Love the beach, quite a hilly place but depends on where you stay. Quiet & not too busy in September. Plenty of places to eat. Taxis to & from the airport very reasonable. Weather just great. Benalmadena is a lovely resort.
Benalmadena is a lovely resort. I went after the school holidays which I would recommend to couples without children. Still busy but manageable. Great places to eat and drink, lots of local attractions and if you want to save money get the train from the airport, just a few Euros.! Local Taxi fares seem to start at 5 Euro but never seem more that 8 Euro but if you struggle to walk distances (especially up the many hills) then they are great value.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Frequent visitor to the area - usually with fellow golfers so ideal for golf courses etc. Location handy for all other amenities and only a short hop from the airport. Caters for all types, young and older, sports loving or culture vultures. Benalmadena has something for everyone and is perfectly located a short drive from the airport. The marina area is very impressive and there is a promenade that allows you to explore further up the coast on foot. The pool looks over the beach and it takes less than 2 minutes to walk to the beach from the hotel. The food was great and the service was great. There is also a spa, I got treatments and they were fantastic. There is also a gym and great facilities. We got the half board and felt it was good value for money.
