Bèrchules is a typical Alpujarra small village perched on...
Bèrchules is a typical Alpujarra small village perched on the side of a hill. There is a chemist, cashpoint, 2 shops and of course, a church. 1 or 2 cafè restaurants. Parking is fairly easy. The usual problem is mobility, steep streets which are tricky unless you have strong legs and knees! Opening hours in these small villages are "flexible" to say the least so check before you set off on an uphill trek for a meal or a shop. I find self-catering properties in this area is usually your best bet then you have a choice. This particular village boasts the curious custom of celebrating New Years Eve at the beginning of August. But you must ask the locals about that..............Guest review byLynnSpain
