A lovely village, clean with a good selection of shops( we did all out gift shopping here). Great community spirit - the place came alive in the weekend nights with hundreds gathering to chill and eat together. Amazing to see the numbers of elderly and disabled out and about daily with carers or extended family. The town’s statue is of a man with a disability, erected to celebrate the community’s commitment to “ RESPECT, ACCEPTANCE, INCLUSION, NORMALITY”. …and the evidence is that these are lived values here. The house was a traditional house that has been sensitively renovated, its orientation and the build quality meant we never had to use the air conditioning as the house stayed cool despite high temperatures outside.
