We were only there for a couple of days and had minimal expectations as the purpose of my stay was not a holiday. However, Ecija had plenty of amenities, a shopping centre with plenty of variety and plenty of free parking. It appears to be a typical Spanish town with heavy roman influence in terms of architecture, statues, with some preserved 'ruins' in the main square. I wasn't there long enough to give a thorough review as I was not there as a tourist and was not there for long. But the experience was much more pleasant than expected and I have nothing negative to say about the placeGuest review bySeanSpain - 10.0
Écija is a beautiful small city at short distance of Seville...
Écija is a beautiful small city at short distance of Seville and Cordoba. The historic centre is amazing, a true hidden gem and certainly worth a visit. Next time we will choose Écija as "home base" while most historic sights in Andalusia are just a short car drive away and the city itself has preserved very much its autenticity whereas other cities are flooded by tourists. Juan couldn't have been more helpful. Location is perfect, 2 mins from Plaza de Espana. Apartment is huge, efgectively 4 rooms with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge with flat screen TV and free Netflix, lovely dining area, comfortable bedroom and a great bathroom with the ultimate shower. Spacious, comfortable, a gorgeous private patio and a wonderful roof terrace. Maria is an amazing host, super friendly, kind and also very helpful. The location is exceptional, under 5 mins’ walk to main Square. Parking included too, a massive advantage! Écija is a beautiful city and everything is accessible on foot from the house.
