Located next to Playa de Palma, the beach resort of El Arenal is a natural continuation of the fun to be had along the capital’s south-eastern coast. With sandy beaches and a promenade full of pubs, restaurants, nightclubs and hotels, it also includes an important marina and the water park Aqualand El Arenal. When you get tired of indulging yourself with sunbathing and endless entertainment, local transport can take you to Palma to admire the medieval Old Town, just 15 km away.

    I had three days of holiday, and I just wanted to go to the warm sea and take my child to the water park. That's why I chose El Arenal, because it's quite close to the airport and the water park, and I didn't have to waste time travelling. The main advantage of the city is, of course, the sea. But you have to be very careful here. I saw local thieves trying to steal things from holidaymakers at the sea or goods from shops more than once. Another unpleasant thing was that there was a persistent smell of urine in the narrow streets near the promenade, even though the streets were washed by the owners of shops and cafes. But this is most likely the fault of tourists who walked around at night.

    Area offers many restaurants, shops and bars.

    Area offers many restaurants, shops and bars. Everything you need you can buy there, beach is free and close by. El Arenal is close to the airport, only 20 minutes by bus, you can reach Palma in 15 minutes. The only thing we didn’t know is that there are many many German tourists and area offers many German bars etc. Otherwise it was a perfect place for a first time in Mallorca!

    I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel!

    I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel! The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, varied, and beautifully presented every day. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always with a smile, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The location was also perfect – close to everything, yet peaceful and quiet. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back!

    Terrible experience, I booked a room for four people, I found four beds, but one was completely broken, when I complained about this to the receptionist, she asked me to put the mattress in the floor, after that I asked for a refund, but the management ignored me completely.

    There’s no security at this place at all.

    There’s no security at this place at all. I had to leave the very first morning because 2 guys were knocking on my door and balcony door trying to gain access. The property didn’t do anything about it. Very scary situation

    I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel facilities, as after reading some bad reviews I had low expectations. But the room was overall quite new and spacious, being a great value for money. Additionally, I did not have any problems with noise despite being located in s'Arenal, a known party area. The staff is very helpful, especially Iván, who was super kind to us since check-in until check-out.

    We have been staying at the Hostal for already the second time. The location is brilliant, the personnel is very friendly and helpful. The amenities are not big but cosy. Despite being situated in El Arenal and in a relative proximity to the Bierkönig, it's quiet in the hotel at night. We are looking forward to staying at Tierramar again.

    The room was lovely, as was the location (especially for the price) and Olly was the absolute best! so helpful and welcoming, made me and my friend feel so at home instantly. Would 1000000% recommend this hostel to anyone wanting to stay in mallorca- I would choose this over a hotel any day!!
