Easy to get the train to El Chorro - I actually missed the stop as I was looking at google maps and the tunnels delayed reception! LOL The views from my accommodation were amazing. Both on sunny days and when the clouds came down with rain. The hotel and train station were very close to my accommodation - but (note to self!) travel light. the roads and stairs do not make for easy movement of big cases! There is not much in El Chorro, other than Caminito Del Rey...
There is not much in El Chorro, other than Caminito Del Rey but that is worth it for sure. We've had a guided tour and we enjoyed it thoroughly. We could have spent a few more hours there enjoying that place. Unfortunately, we had a train to catch. There isn't anything to do in El Chorro, apart from our excellent hotel, there is one other small bar next to the train station and a super market which is a very small shop that sells very little. The train station is unmanned and our experiences with the trains in Spain you could write a comedy series on it, with tickets you booked online not arriving or cancelled the last 4 trains and costing 80 Euros for a taxi to get back to the hotel. Or 40 minutes late,meaning you missed your connection and then had a wait of 4 hours or return to El Chorro.Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Great start point for the Caminito del rey - shuttle buses will take you to the trail head leading to the Caminito del Rey access point. Caminito del Rey ends 2 km away from el Chorrro. We booked room based on photos but got something very different. Room given wasn't suitable for us but for a younger modern couple. The stairs were too narrow no sofa . Lighting too bright and exposed for us. It has it good points with views and using for overnight stay is good but not for a week stay. The walk around was lovely and recommended. Guided tour stats at 9.30 and well worth it. No outside eating places just the restaurant. This hotel wasn't for us but is suitable for backpackers.Guest review byBrianGibraltar

Location is close to several trekking routes and the jacuzzi afterwards with the views is the icing on the cake. Everything was perfect and no complaints whatsoever, if you have any question, the hosts react super fast. the property is highly recommended from my side!
