The view is stunning, looking out over the mountains. The best part about the hotel is the staff. I cannot remember staying in a hotel where everyone was as welcoming as this. The food in the restaurant was very good.

Hotel located in a secluded area in the middle of the Basque mountains but close enough to key locations. The rooms were spacious and with character. Staff was super friendly and helpful. As there is no bar or restaurant, guests are allowed to bring their own food and drinks and use it in the communal hotel facilities, which is very convenient. There is also free hot drinks and cakes (baked onsite) in the reception area. The hotel has super views and its a great place to hideaway and rest after a busy day visiting the sourrunging areas. Have I mentioned breakfast.... OMG! Soooo nice and abundant. All fresh, bread made on site, freshly squeezed orange juice and an amazing variety to enjoy a traditional Basque/Spanish breakfast. We'll definitely come back.

    Elgóibar as a whole is a very nice town but small and is about 45 minutes from Bilbao airport by taxi, some lovely shops and resentments but not many to chose from unless you have a car and then can get to some great locations where the food is fantastic and very reasonably priced
