Between lush hills and undulating coastline, Gijón is the largest city in Asturias. Its oldest part covers a peninsula with the modern Elogio del Horizonte sculpture at its green tip. Underground are the Campo Valdés Roman bath ruins, and Campa de Torres has an archaeology park.
