Great location and the marvellous view 🫶 There are sun-beds on the terrace where you can relax and enjoy the beauty. The room is clean, everything is as described. Good value for the money. Perfect choice if you want to be in silence and closer to nature. The hotel has it’s own restaurant and almost nothing around, except the mountains and trees ⛰️🌲

We had a great stay in this hotel, very friendly, helpful and accessible owners. Lovely breakfast with large local attention for local products. Amazing restaurant with a huge selection on the menu. Unique location, very quiet and the perfect temperatures at night. Well decorated rooms in Andalusian style with a modern silent airconditioning unit. Refreshing swimming pool! When you are visiting Granada (30 min drive) or the other surrounding areas (Sierra Nevada is nearby), the owners are always helpful to give you excellent travel tips.

We chose La Casa De la Plaza to stay at in February when visiting our son Paul who lives in the village. We were amazed with the fabulous apartment right in the centre of the village and made use of the open log fire on the chilly winters evening. It was like home from home. Our host was lovely and despite arriving later than anticipated was waiting for us on arrival. We were recommended the lovely bakery next door, shopped in the local supermarkets and participated with the locals during tapas hour. Stunning views, a very comfortable well equipped apartment and a lovely host. We will definitely choose to stay here next time we visit. Thank you so much.

Ideal location for a short stay, visiting Granada, walking or skiing - we did it all! Cristina and Inma looked after us very well, always available to help although we didn't have any problems. Apartment was very clean, comfortable and warm, all the facilities you could need. Home from home.

Very clean apartment with good sized terrace, living area and kitchen, within easy walking distance of the centre of the village. Bathroom has a bath and good pressure to the shower. The owner responded very promptly to all communications via whatsapp (all commmunication was in Spanish).

Our stay was most enjoyable, really beautiful house, so much attention to detail, the stove was so warm after a day ski, Mateo could not have been nicer, bringing endless supplies of wood when requested. The house is even nicer than the pictures, if I could give 11/10 I would, could not fault in any way, really lovely town, close to everything and friendly 😀

    Beautiful small village with amazing views across the mountains. Plenty of walks and cycling choices, with close connection by car to both Sierra Nevada mountains and Granada city. Good choice of places to eat and drink, plus small grocery shops.

    If you are looking for a somewhat rustic village, this is for you. Quiet and quaint!The beautiful mountain location is great for hiking and relaxation. The local road to get up to the ski area is an uphill slog of narrow, curves, sometimes a one lane road, hairpin turns. In wet weather it is not a good choice. The apartment is clean, some of the furniture looks old, but it is not described as a luxury stay, so this was expected.

    We didn't think that 11 Kilometers would take us more than...

    We didn't think that 11 Kilometers would take us more than 30 minutes and as we started driving at dark to the place it kept taking us on this hilly and windy road that was scary driving and we thought we were going no were as nothing was showing to be a place for us to stay that night, once we arrived we saw the place and they gave us a warm welcome. In the morning they served us breakfast as if we were at home, made us fresh coffee and brought us breakfast to our table and even made us more fresh coffee, the owners were extremely friendly and we would stayed their more days if we had more time, on the way down we saw spectacular views of the mountain and lake at the edge of the mountain. I highly recommend the experience.

    This place is/ should't be recommendet for people who have problem with walking. (Though there is a lift in the hotel). Some streets are very narrow or sometimes there are steps to manage to continue a walk in the village. When the weather is good, the viuws are dimply beautiful.

    We have been to this establishment many times in the past and have always enjoyed our stay. Location is great for sierra nevada, parking limited, rustic and authentic hotel with clean and large rooms. Views to die for. No English spoken which we like but may not suit everyone. The same family has run hotel for the 20 years I have been coming here. Continental Breakfast, and Tapas with every drink during the day. Other bars nearby do the same if you want some variety.

    Booked 4 days 2 rooms, 5 people, stayed one night.

    Booked 4 days 2 rooms, 5 people, stayed one night. Food was inedible. 5 meals for dinner. Every one was burned overcooked and dry. Breakfast was over cooked and cold bacon and fried eggs. Again inedible. Told owner we were leaving, she got very aggressive and threatened to call police if we didn’t pay full price 4 days. We ended up paying for 2 days plus her booking commission. Most expensive non holiday we ever had. Also no atmosphere as only about another 6 guest in the place.

    A great place to stay. Staff are excellent and as a solo traveler I was very well looked after. Breakfast was a bonus and very tasty. Guejar Sierra is my favorite place to visit when skiing in the Sierra Nevada. Loved the fire in the bar and the hot shower plus secure parking.

    Mateo is an amazing host. He showed us around and was most helpful with every request. The house is unique, full of thought and art. Güéjar Sierra is lovely, and there are plenty of hiking trails. We will definitely visit in the future!
