The accommodation was close to the motorway, but very quiet.
The accommodation was close to the motorway, but very quiet. It was easy to find. We travel with three dogs so the outside space and large internal space are essential. We took our own dinner and breakfast but next time would like to explore the area to see if there are any bars. Our host was friendly and welcoming. The town is a small village along the highway.
The town is a small village along the highway. There are several cafe's and restaurants, check on the internet for opening hours. We normally eat near our hostal. We also take a little walk up and down the main street. Coming south through Spain, an ideal location to spend a night north of Madrid, around 350 kms from Santander. 'what's simple works best' is how I would helpfully describe this hotel. Good rooms, beds, bathroom, locals were curious and friendly, menu del dia was OK, so were snacks. Parking........tight......watch out for the support posts. A beautiful small town at the base of the mountains.
A beautiful small town at the base of the mountains. Lovely area in Centre with bars and little shops used by locals which gives a great atmosphere. A few good restaurants within walking distance of where we stayed. Good stop off place between North coast ferries and Southern Spain. It could have really done with an electric or cooker kettle , stayed before and this time took a travel kettle, really needs one as tea or coffee is a must for most people, microwave hot water is a bit of a pain.
