The house is very complete and comfortable. Strong internet connection and a good option for working from home. The garden is amazing with different seating options and a hot tub. Location is great though a car a highly recommendable. The neighbourhood is quiet with friendly neighbours. The host was very welcoming and helpful with clear instructions and great suggestions. Easily reachable and quick in response.

The location for us was perfect, so peaceful and tranquil. The roof terrace was the exceptionally beautiful, the view was amazing. So lovely to wake up and have breakfast outside The bed was very comfortable.

    It is a lovely little traditional village.

    It is a lovely little traditional village. A lot of the restaurants are closed on Sundays and Mondays which was a bit of a pain but only because there were so many to experience! It is well situated, near beaches but you do need a car.

    Quiet relaxing place to recharge and use as a base for exploring the island. there are some authentic Spanish restaurant's and some great cafes. There isnt a night life kind of place but somewhere to enjoy your days and relax. You need a car here, its easy to get around and plenty of supermarkets. The beaches are unspoilt, no sunbeds but there are alot of nudists about. No shops near the beaches so take a picnic. Definitely visit the b.e.a.c.h shop on the high street for some great home pieces

    Lajares itself doesn’t have a lot to offer.

    Lajares itself doesn’t have a lot to offer. Need to use the car all the time. It is better to stay in El Cotillo. Unless you want to be close to the specific beaches. I would not recommend more than 2-3 days there. If in the area go to “Panaceta”, great bakery in Lajares.

    The people here are very kind and welcoming.

    The people here are very kind and welcoming. The atmosphere is very relaxed and you see lots of surfers. After a surfing trip, Lajares is the perfect location to get some really good food. Don't worry if you are not a surfer. You can run, hike and bike here, too. You can also take a hike and visit a nearby volcano. In total, this is the perfect spot if you want to visit Fuerteventura. You have lots of houses to choose from and Corralejo is only a 15min ride away. El Cotillo, a surfer's paradise, is also just 15min away.

    Beautiful town with some really good restaurants and coffee...

    Beautiful town with some really good restaurants and coffee shops. La Boqueria was a particular favourite. Great tapas and Iberian pork. La Canela was nice for a drink, good music and gets busy when there's live music.

    Because Lajares is not on the coast, it did not feel as “...

    Because Lajares is not on the coast, it did not feel as “touristy” as the coastal villages and towns. However there are still plenty of places to eat (although you have to note the inevitable ‘one night a week closed’ for each restaurant and plan accordingly,) Good bakeries, a handy supermarket, everything within walking distance. Many lovely walks can be started from Lajares. La Bodega restaurant is a cut above the rest. If you did not have a car, bus service Correlejo to El Cotillo is very frequent. There is only one bicycle hire shop but sadly they do not have many bikes (that was our only disappointment)

    Everything from start to finish was perfect. The property was so beautiful, we felt right at home from the moment we stepped through the door. It was wonderfully clean, and the kitchen had ensuring we needed and more. Or favourite thing, had to be the gardens. It’s probably the nicest garden on the whole property. This really made our holiday! We stayed last year via the hotel, so decided to try booking privately and it was the best decision ever. We would defo recommend and stay again

    Great location at the edge of the chilled out town of Lajares - Car needed - ideal for touring easily the north of the island, everywhere is 20 mins away. The property is maintained extremely well, and modern and very clean - the gardens are superb, with plenty of space and its very quiet. The villa has fantastic light with many large windows and an open feeling.

    The staff were amazing, always happy to assist us with anything. Children bed barrier (free) was a very convenient amenity. The swimming pool slides were fun. It is indeed far away from everything but with a car it's a non issue - plenty of parking space and 12 mins gets you to Lajares.

    Villa Tommy was peaceful, comfortable and clean. Host Dave gave us a warm welcome but was unobtrusive after that. The pool was bigger than expected and the views were beautiful. Lajares is an interesting small town that is home to a mix of locals and visitors.
