FAQs about hotels in Málaga

he Colorful Soul of the Costa del Sol

The birthplace of Picasso is as colorful as an artist’s palette, from the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea to the golden sun, which gives 300 days of sunshine per year. When the sun sets, the vibrant nightlife awakens and you’ll find your place among the youthful square of the old center, the trendy bars of La Malagueta or on one of the terraces of Pedregalejo.

There’'s also rich history underneath the sun and fun. Alcazaba is a Moorish castle from the 11th century and just next to it are the remnants of a Roman Theatre. The white stone tower of the Malaga Cathedral rises up in the heart of the city centre, and offers an interesting respite from sun bathing on the magnificent and popular beaches.

A more modern history can be appreciated by visiting the birthplace of Picasso and a museum full of exhibitions by Malaga 's most famous resident. A more relaxed Spanish city than Madrid and Barcelona, Malaga is still the gateway to the Costa del Sol and the busy Malaga Airport is only 6 miles from the center of town.

From budget hostels to 5-star luxury hotels, with Booking.com you're sure to find the perfect place to stay for your sunny vacation.

First time trip to Malaga - vibrant city with so much to see. Stayed two nights and managed to visit the market, port and beach on first day and Alcazaba and Gibralfaro castle on day two . Very walkable city and great local buses and local trains. Also well served by the two city stations. A great gateway to explore Andalucía by train - we have moved on to Ronda, Cordoba and Seville over a ten day total trip. Will definitely return for more.

I loved the history and culture especially the castle (great views) and Roman Amphitheatre. The shops were great to look round and had a snack in the market. We also enjoyed the beach and had a quick swim.

Really impressed with Malaga. So much to see.

Really impressed with Malaga. So much to see. Easy to get about. Plenty of sightseeing tours. Cafes and restaurants were great and so cheap. Malaga city centre is so impressive and clean with magnificent tree lined avenues, fountains and churches. Cruise liners and super yachts were berthed in the harbour. Restaurants and shopping in this area was lovely.

    Vibrant, beautiful and friendly.

Vibrant, beautiful and friendly. From late night, balmy walks to some of the best vegetarian food we’ve had. So much to do that we couldn’t fit it all in :) Only a short jump on a train from Malaga airport; most of our exploring of the city was done on foot. A revisit is definitely in planning. Thank you, Malaga!

We really enjoyed staying here. The flat itself is great, very spacious for two of us and clean with everything you need (except for dishwasher tablets and washing liquid). Having two bathrooms was very helpful and the showers were great. The location is wonderful, in Soho with the old town across the road plus the port and beach a short walk away. Malaga-Centro-Alameda train station is a few minutes away and on a direct line to the airport.

Great hotel, excellent staff, clean, no faults. Excellent location to reach the old town and restaurants/beach area. Bus from and to the airport stops a few meters away. We were lucky to get the rooms facing the courtyard. There are few restaurants in front of the hotel, so could get loud/lively at night for the front rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful!

The definition of boutique is definitely appropriate, I would rate the hotel, room, breakfast and staff more than a 10 if I could. It was one of the best hotel's we've stayed at, a 5 star memorable experience that we will won't forget. We would stay again if we return to Malaga!
