This recently refurbished hotel has a stylish welcoming entrance and foyer, with very friendly and efficient staff at the reception. Our room was on the top floor with a lovely view of trees in the Alameda across the road and the shimmering sea in the distance. A modern room with a large comfortable bed and excellent quality bedding and pillows. The luxurious bathroom had a large walk in shower with soft towelling bathrobes to enjoy. The large plasma television had numerous English language channels. Breakfast was all encompassing and there was a lovely bar and restaurant to enjoy. A swimming pool, gym and spa are also available.

This is one of the most gorgeous locations that I have ever stayed in. The service is impeccable (massive thank you to Gaby for keeping up with all of our demands) and the hotel is just perfect. 10 points are not enough to acknowledge the beauty and enjoyability of this hotel. After a generous renovation, every detail presents class and luxury: Cosy furnishing, stylish equipment, subtle music, native touches, a flourishing park, exquisite restaurants and numerous facilities for workout or relaxation. The staff reflects an amiable philosophy, doing everything to make guests feel comfortable without any constriction. Outside seatings from breakfast until dinner are geniously supported even on colder or cloudy days, gently neglecting the risk of a sudden shower or chilly winds. The grand dame rocks again and is back on our top ten list in Europe.

We loved everything, starting with the kind ladies from the hotel staff, to the room decorations and attention to detail. We cannot recommend this place enough, we were actually surprised it is only a 3 stars hotel. It looks and it feels like a 5 star place.

Home of the Beautiful People

The most exclusive Costa del Sol resort, Marbella stands for beaches and beautiful people. Expensive yachts line the marinas here and in nearby Puerto Banús, where supercars outnumber saloons. It also has the best clubs, as well as designer shops and trendy fish restaurants. Look out for the celebrities that holiday here or live on the Golden Mile, home to only the fanciest villas and Marbella hotels.

Marbella beaches stretch over 16 miles, all set against the backdrop of spectacular mountains, best viewed from a boat. You might even spot a dolphin. The beaches at Puerto Banús and San Pedro Alcántara have a Blue Flag, while the most popular are Venus and La Fontanilla in the town centre. Artola Beach also has protected dunes.

Attractions in Marbella include the 10 Dalí sculptures on Avenida del Mar, and the cobbled Old Town streets lined with colourful Andalusian-style houses. Picturesque Orange Square has pavement cafes under the shade of orange trees, and nearby are remains of a Moorish castle and the 16th-century town walls.

Other well-heeled pursuits include horseracing at the Hipodromo Costa del Sol, and the area’s golf courses, including one designed by national hero Seve Ballesteros.

Malaga Airport is the nearest and Booking.com has a great range of accommodation in Marbella and the surrounding villages.

    Puerto Banus is full of posers...but aside from that it is a stunning place - really recommend people to take the catamaran boat from Puerto Banus to Marbella - it's a fabulous trip and only 30 minutes!

    We stayed about 20minutes outside Marbella at a small beach resort. We only visited the old town which was delightful, full of amazing unique, street side restaurants. It was pretty and quaint. Marbella itself was busy with designers shops and lots of places to eat. Not something that we were interested in.

    much bigger than i imagined,old town worth a visit but overcrowded , always look up at buildings so much missed by not doing so, great walking along the seafront with many stops for eating and drinking.beach very course sand and stoney in parts. taxis spotless and cheap. food in most touristy places average, good food expensive.

    It was my first time in Marbella and it exceeded my expectations. There is something for everyone there and such a beautiful place to visit! All the locals are friendly and helpful. Theres lots of beautiful restaurants to visit, a buzzing market to go to on Saturday mornings and lots of lovely bars to drink in.

    Pleasantly surprised with Marbella.

    Pleasantly surprised with Marbella. We stayed in the old town which was delightful. The newer beach front area would not be my cup of tea, but little different from any other main resort. Marbella was clean and surprisingly green.

    Marbella and surroundings provides you with plenty entertainment options and things to see. Everything from high end places to quiet villages is within reach. Locations with thousands of years of history (Ronda, Malaga, Cordoba, Granada) are also within reach. Great beaches, delicious seafood, friendly people.

    Conny was the absolute best host. Nothing was too much trouble. She even moved her car from outside the apartment for us. It was my fiancee’s birthday so she greeted us with birthday cake and champagne (and even made sure the cake was gluten free as my fiancee’s daughter is celiac). The apartment was spotless and in a brilliant location in the middle of Marbella Old Town. The wellness-themed outdoor courtyard was amazing too. We’d never hesitate to return if we were ever back in Spain.

    The location was perfect, right behind the golden mile of Marbella 1Km from Marbella center walking by the promenade sea side, 3Km to Puerto Banus walking (or running). The house was overall a beautiful place to stay. The pool was pretty big so you could have a decent swim. The patio is nice, BBQ on the rooftop is the best for dinner. The beach was so close and really worked well for us with 4 small kids.
