Maro is a lovely small town with fantastic restaurants and the best beach I've been to. It's a 5-minute drive from Nerja which is a lot busier and easily accessible by taxi. But to stay I would definitely recommend Maro as it is calm and very enjoyable. The local residents were also very nice and welcoming. The appartment was well equipped with a full kitchenette. Beach towels were provided for the lovely beach, where a bus stop right near the appartment takes you down to Playa de Maro for €1.50 return.
