It's a friendly town.
It's a friendly town. Couldn't help noticing few people in 20-50 age group and many stores in the centre were shuttered. The bank ATMs I tried demand €2.75 - €4.00 to withdraw cash, so I only used cards. A one night stop over is not fair to judge a location. More time spent exploring would help give a better overview. Impressions of an evening walk to get food was that Palencia is a large town comprised of a cathedral and blocks of flats - not really fair perhaps to Palencia!Guest review byJimprattUnited Kingdom

We paid to park in the hotel car park (such charges in city centres seem to be the norm in Spain), and used it without difficulty, though we were guided by previous reviews describing how to exit as pedestrians.
